THE CHALLENGE
CEO Clubs Greece wanted the first Circle event of its season to leave 40 CEOs with something to use.
Each season, CEO Clubs Greece opens with a Circle event for its members, and in September 2023 that meant a room of 40 CEOs who spend their days persuading boards, teams and customers.
Jenny Tsimpouka, Events Co-ordinator, invited Duncan to give the keynote. She wanted a talk that showed how teams and leaders can influence more effectively, and gave members a clear structure they could take straight back to their businesses.
DUNCAN’S SOLUTION
A tailored influence keynote built on the Effective Influence Model, behavioural psychology and a room that joined in.
Before the event, Duncan spoke with the CEO Clubs Greece team to learn who’d be in the room, what these CEOs already knew about influence and what they’d want to use in their own businesses.
He shaped a 45-minute keynote around his Effective Influence Model, a structure for influencing more effectively and more often, then used on-stage behavioural psychology demonstrations and interactive moments to bring each step to life.
THE RESULT
A room of CEOs who left with a clear model for influence and a Club keen to work with Duncan again.

Influence isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about making it easy for people to agree.
The CEOs I meet already carry plenty of authority, so I don’t teach them to push harder. I show them how to understand what the other person needs, build trust first and ask in a way that’s easy to agree to. Then I give them a simple model that works on a busy Tuesday, not just in the room.
