Luxembourg City is actually an entire country, which contains a castle at its centre which dates back to the middle-ages, and is one of the de facto capitals of the European Union. The city is home to a population of about 125k permanent residents, who have the second-highest GDP per capita rate on the planet; and is ranked number one as the safest city for personal safety in the world.
